The World Property

This is a man-made archipelago of 300 islands in the shape of a world map currently under construction off the coast of Dubai. It is another one in the series of artificially made islands in Dubai along with the 3 Palm Islands. A brainchild of the current ruler, the island is 9 kilometre by 6 kilometre and surrounded by an oval breakwater. The World is 90% complete as of March 2007. It is also known as The Globe.
